From Dennis | Rusty Nuts & Bolts
I heard about GIBBS on the Car Doctor radio program and decided to give it a try. I had to replace the front shocks and the front sway-bar links on my Dodge Dakota. I was in a hurry so I didn't use any GIBBS on the front passenger side and I had a bear of a time removing the nuts and bolts to the shock and the links. Living in the upper mid-west I have to fight the battle of rusty nuts and bolts which sometimes causes broken hardware and lost time extracting the pieces. A 30-minute job turns into a 3-hour job.
I hit the nuts and bolts with Gibbs on the driver's side and let it soak as I completed the passenger side. Without Gibbs it took about an hour with a broken sway-bar link. With Gibbs it took just under 30 minutes with no broken hardware. Same amount of rust, same parts to replace the only difference is Gibbs. In the past I've used all of the penetrating oils out there and nothing is better than Gibbs. I'll be placing an order for a case soon so I'm never without Gibbs. This stuff is GREAT!

From Allan | Completely Frozen Bolts
Hi Jerry,
Just wanted to report back on product performance.
I've got a '92 300SD Mercedes with 367K on it. The thermostat housing is buried down next to the alternator and is held on with two M5 bolts about an inch long. They were completely frozen. I tried all combinations of vibration, heat, and rocking the bolt, to no avail. I had been working on it for about a week when I ordered your product which I heard about on the Car Doctor. The bolts go the housing which is about 5/32" thick and then into a blind hole, so there is quite a bit buried in the water pump housing to corrode.
I put your product on and they were free in 20 minutes (maybe sooner, but I did not try sooner). It's great stuff and a lifesaver for me!

From Wayne Graefen | Amazed and Sold on Gibbs
I'm really amazed by Gibbs. I've been messing around in the old car hobby for over 45 years and I've tried all the penetrants and water proofers and rust stoppers and I mean the best of them all. Gibbs continues to amaze me and now I've got my kids (in their 30s) using it (you recently filled a 12 can order from my son in Illinois for himself, his siblings and several friends) as well as my friends all using Gibbs.
I have stopped rust on a cheaply rechromed bumper, removed green patina on original chrome that sat multiple decades, made door strikers work on my house that refused after adjustments, stopped squeaks everywhere, and where I'm really impressed is that in almost every case I'm not going back with second applications - Gibbs keeps working and working.
There are specific nut and bolt applications in my car hobby work that I've fought with all my life, often ending up with broken bolts because they had frozen. With Gibbs I'm making an initial application a few days before I must disassemble and then again when ready to hit them with ratchet or air tool - and they are flying apart and can be reused! In restoration of collector cars, that original hardware means a great deal.
I'm just absolutely sold on Gibbs.

From Martin Flores | Good Old-Fashion Customer Service!
I recieved my order of 2 cans of GIBBS and noticed on my invoice that it's hand written with a hand written "thank-you" at the bottom. Thats a very rare thing these days and it shows me you are a company that truly cares about its customers.
Good 'ol fashion customer service!! Thats number one in my book. And your product is by far the best I've used for so many applications. Thanks for being a down to earth, customer oriented company!
From Renae Kulas | Sticker Glue & Permanent Marker
My daughter put stickers on the kitchen table. My son wrote with a permanent marker on the kitchen table. I tried everything to get the marker and sticker glue off the table, and nothing worked. One spray of
GIBBS and the marker and sticker glue were off the table and the table looks new again.
From Pam Nichols | Fingerprints & Streaks
I have a refridgerator that has a brushed aluminum or stainless steel door that leaves a mark every time anyone touches it. It looks horrible! I have tried everything but no matter what I do, it just gets worse. If I clean it, naturally, all the fingerprints are gone but I can't get rid of the streaks that are left from wiping it! I've tried different cleaners ... I've tried wiping it down with clear water ... I've tried waxing it ... all to no avail. This has been a constant source of great irritation for the longest time.
After ordering
GIBBS from you, I tried it on the 'fridge door and guess what? That's right! No more streaks ... and I haven't seen a single fingerprint on the door since! Thank You,
GIBBS!
From Jerry Ostalecki | Gibbs Distributor
In early 2000, a friend kept talking to me about
GIBBS Brand ... he was using
GIBBS as a carb cleaner, as a lubricant, and as a preservative on his expensive gun collection. Also, while helping him work on one of his cars, I noticed he was using
GIBBS as a starting fluid -- he would spray some
GIBBS into the throat of the carb to help get the motor running ... and it worked like a charm!
My first personal experience with
GIBBS set me back on my heels. I had a shower door that required a great deal of effort to open and close. I gave the rollers a quick spray of
GIBBS ... rolled the doors back and forth ... and each time I rolled the door, it got easier and easier. After a few rolls the doors moved effortlessly. That was all it took to make me a believer in the powers of
GIBBS Brand. However, I neglected to tell my wife about the easy rolling doors and the next time she used the shower, she almost drove the door through the wall!
After becoming a
GIBBS distributor, I had an emergency order placed by a fellow going to a weaponry show. He was paid by the organizers to display some of his antique swords and, in preparing to leave for the show, he discovered that he was out of
GIBBS! He did not want to risk taking his priceless antique swords to the show and have anyone touch the items without a protective application of
GIBBS on them and called me to place a Rush Order. He was prepared to cancel his appearance at the show if he couldn't get an emergency supply of
GIBBS because he knew only too well that
with a protective application of GIBBS, his valued swords are sure to be safe from soiling of any kind.
From Alan Horvath | 1954 Chevy Pickup Truck
A good friend and I were talking one day and I pointed to the aftermarket door handles on my '54 Chevy pickup truck, noting the constant battle I was having with rust on the thin cheapo chrome job they give you on aftermarket things. He looked at me and simply said,
"GIBBS Penetrating Oil. Clean the rust off with GIBBS, then coat them with GIBBS and you'll never see them rust again."
He's a Harley Motorcycle guy, so I said "Great! I'll go to the local Harley shop and get some!" ...
"You won't find it there ..." he replied ...
"I'll email you a link." He sent me a link to
GetGIBBS.com ... I immediately called Jerry Ostalecki and placed an order over the phone. A single can is $11.00 plus $8.50 S&H -- a bit pricey but well worth it if you ask me. It's a fairly large 12 ounce can and if you want to save on shipping costs, you can place a larger order; it's worth it because you'll be ordering more once you see how cool this stuff is anyway!
I sprayed some rusty areas on a number of things ... waited a while ... steel wooled the rust off and then coated everything with GIBBS. It's been over a week and I see no signs of rust returning. Previously, I had been using chrome polish and rust would return in a week or so ... less, if it rained.
Another cool thing about this stuff is the way is dispenses from the can! If you slowly press down on the nozzel, the oil will just ooze out in a foam which makes it real easy to coat small things like the door handle push buttons ... and if you press the nozzle full-blast, it shoots out in a strong 3- to 4-foot stream that lets you target hard to reach areas.
Jerry Ostalecki told me to try it on my fan belts. I was taken back at the idea of putting oil on fan belts but my fan belts complain after every rainfall and make noise ... also, even in dry weather, they always chirp at the final shut off of the engine. We had a heavy rain the night before I got the GIBBS, so I sprayed my fan belts before I started the truck up ... started the truck and the belts were absolutely silent! Plus, I haven't heard a single peep out of them since! This is great!
Jerry also told me another cool story:
"One fellow used GIBBS as a pre-treatment to painting/dying the vinyl. He did two items, which were seats from a mid 60's Nova - one was pre-treated with GIBBS and the other was treated with SEMS vinyl primer. The SEMS vinyl dye directions call for the item to be primed with the SEMS product first. When finished, the SEMS primed seat looked like it had been painted. The GIBBS pre-treated seat looked like it was new vinyl. He did the same test with hard plastic trim parts. The SEMS primed looked like they were painted (which they were). The GIBBS pre-treated items looked like they just dropped out of the mold."
P.S. -- I just placed an order for 12 cans so I can use GIBBS on
everything ... and so I can turn some of my friends onto GIBBS.
From Art Zasadny | Many Uses!
I've used Gibbs with excellent results on the following:
Clean rusty tools and brake rotors and calipers
Clean and lubricate pool pump
Clean and Lubricate cement mixer
Clean carburetor and linkage
Degrease concrete and exhaust headers
Clean and lubricate door locks and padlocks
Clean and lubricate automotive pedal cluster and shifter bushings and linkage
Big Al | Lawn Sprinkler Maintenance
I use Gibbs on the pop up sprinkler heads during spring start up. Never had a call back or complaint for a stuck pop up. The other product I was using caused more problems that it cured. It would soften the plastic and seals.
Using Gibbs, all those problems are gone and the systems work flawlessly all season. Gibbs saves me money and time. My can of Gibbs is the most important tool in my tool box.
Arnold Manriquez | Thanks!
Mr Jerry
THANKS for the bottle of Gibbs, you really went the extra mile in filling my order. Good men like you are hard to find.
